# OU Study vs Seneca

The clearest difference is rating: OU Study at 4.7 against Seneca's 3.3. Seneca's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months) and review sentiment (24% vs 14%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OU Study holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 18 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of OU Study's written reviews are positive against 24% of Seneca's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OU Study ships an update every 9 months, Seneca every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
