# Flight Simulator vs Flight Simulator Pilot Games

The clearest difference is rating: Flight Simulator at 4.1 against Flight Simulator Pilot Games's 3.0. Flight Simulator also leads on ratings volume (761 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Simulator sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days and Flight Simulator Pilot Games sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flight Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Simulator has 761 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
