# 今日水木 vs R2V

The clearest difference is ads: R2V at none against 今日水木's shown. R2V also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). 今日水木's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

R2V holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 25 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of 今日水木's written reviews are positive against 60% of R2V's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

今日水木 ships an update every 3 weeks, R2V every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
