# simPODD vs Clicker Talk

The clearest difference is rating: simPODD at 4.5 against Clicker Talk's 1.0. simPODD also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. simPODD sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month and Clicker Talk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

simPODD ships an update every 2 months, Clicker Talk every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
