# simPODD vs Spkeasy

The clearest difference is rating: simPODD at 4.6 against Spkeasy's 4.2. Spkeasy's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (90% vs 78%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. simPODD sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month and Spkeasy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

simPODD holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of simPODD's written reviews are positive against 90% of Spkeasy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

simPODD ships an update every 2 months, Spkeasy every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
