# Password Manager vs Block Apps

Password Manager and Block Apps both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of Block Apps's written reviews are positive against 30% of Password Manager's. Password Manager's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 19) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Password Manager sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Block Apps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Password Manager against 4.5 for Block Apps. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Password Manager has 17K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 30% of Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 67% of Block Apps's.

Password Manager ships an update every 2 months, Block Apps every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
