# Password Manager vs PassGuard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PassGuard at 100% against Password Manager's 30%. PassGuard also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Password Manager's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Password Manager sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and PassGuard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.19 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PassGuard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Password Manager has 17K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 30% of Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 100% of PassGuard's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
