# Evolt Active vs HD Pro

The clearest difference is rating: HD Pro at 5.0 against Evolt Active's 2.0. Evolt Active's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (107 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Evolt Active sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and HD Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HD Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evolt Active has 107 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Evolt Active ships an update fortnightly, HD Pro every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
