# Green Mtn vs SchoolStore

The clearest difference is rating: Green Mtn at 4.9 against SchoolStore's 3.7. Green Mtn also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (4.7K vs 3). SchoolStore's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 47%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Green Mtn holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Green Mtn has 4.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Green Mtn's written reviews are positive against 75% of SchoolStore's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Green Mtn ships an update monthly, SchoolStore every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
