# Paces vs Launchpad

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Paces at none against Launchpad's 1. Paces also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Launchpad's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Launchpad sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Paces asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Paces against 5.0 for Launchpad. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paces has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Paces ships an update every 3 months, Launchpad every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
