# DictionBuddy vs Estill Exercises

DictionBuddy and Estill Exercises both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of DictionBuddy's written reviews are positive against 38% of Estill Exercises's. DictionBuddy also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (23 vs 2). Estill Exercises's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DictionBuddy sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Estill Exercises sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for DictionBuddy against 5.0 for Estill Exercises. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DictionBuddy has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of DictionBuddy's written reviews are positive against 38% of Estill Exercises's.

DictionBuddy ships an update every 3 months, Estill Exercises every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
