# Flex VPN vs VPN Ninja

The clearest difference is ads: VPN Ninja at none against Flex VPN's shown. VPN Ninja also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and device support (4 vs 2). Flex VPN's advantage is ratings volume (535 vs 29). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flex VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and VPN Ninja sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.09 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flex VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flex VPN has 535 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Flex VPN's written reviews are positive against 83% of VPN Ninja's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flex VPN ships an update every 3 weeks, VPN Ninja every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
