# Cam&Cam vs Home Security Camera Scanner

The clearest difference is monetization model: Home Security Camera Scanner at free with in-app purchases against Cam&Cam's subscription. Home Security Camera Scanner also leads on rating (4.1 vs 3.6) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 88). Cam&Cam's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (42% vs 25%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cam&Cam sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Home Security Camera Scanner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Home Security Camera Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home Security Camera Scanner has 1.4K ratings behind it against 88, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Cam&Cam's written reviews are positive against 25% of Home Security Camera Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cam&Cam ships an update every 9 days, Home Security Camera Scanner monthly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
