# VPN Proxy Master vs Slingshot

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VPN Proxy Master at 54% against Slingshot's 9%. VPN Proxy Master also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Slingshot's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Proxy Master sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Slingshot asks for nothing beyond the download.

Slingshot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Proxy Master has 3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of VPN Proxy Master's written reviews are positive against 9% of Slingshot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN Proxy Master ships an update every 5 months, Slingshot every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
