# Castrum vs exod

The clearest difference is review sentiment: exod at 100% against Castrum's 41%. exod also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Castrum's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Castrum ships an update every 2 months, exod every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
