# Tornado.mini vs Snake Crusher

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Tornado.mini at none against Snake Crusher's 3. Tornado.mini also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). Snake Crusher's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (12K vs 13). On price, rating, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snake Crusher sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Tornado.mini asks for nothing beyond the download.

Snake Crusher holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snake Crusher has 12K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Tornado.mini's written reviews are positive against 25% of Snake Crusher's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tornado.mini ships an update every 3 months, Snake Crusher every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
