# Bandmates vs Gigmor

The clearest difference is rating: Gigmor at 3.5 against Bandmates's 2.0. Gigmor also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Bandmates's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bandmates sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Gigmor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gigmor holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Bandmates's written reviews are positive against 50% of Gigmor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bandmates ships an update every 2 months, Gigmor every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
