# Speedometer vs Covered

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Speedometer at none against Covered's 2. Speedometer also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 3) and device support (4 vs 2). Covered's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Covered sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Speedometer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Covered holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer has 1.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
