# Fixnat vs Control Switch

The clearest difference is rating: Control Switch at 5.0 against Fixnat's 2.5. Control Switch also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). Fixnat's advantage is ratings volume (23 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fixnat sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Control Switch asks for nothing beyond the download.

Control Switch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fixnat has 23 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fixnat ships an update every 3 weeks, Control Switch every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
