# VideoShot vs Chiizu

The clearest difference is update cadence: Chiizu at daily against VideoShot's monthly. VideoShot's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VideoShot sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Chiizu sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VideoShot ships an update monthly, Chiizu daily. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
