# School Assistant vs Assignd

The clearest difference is ratings volume: School Assistant at 4.7K against Assignd's 3. School Assistant also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months) and device support (5 vs 3). Assignd's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. School Assistant sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Assignd sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Assignd holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: School Assistant has 4.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

School Assistant ships an update every 2 months, Assignd every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
