# FreeTime vs Hourglass

The clearest difference is ads: FreeTime at none against Hourglass's shown. FreeTime also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FreeTime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Hourglass sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FreeTime ships an update every 2 weeks, Hourglass fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
