# Mileage Logbook vs drivers note

The clearest difference is monetization model: drivers note at free with in-app purchases against Mileage Logbook's subscription. drivers note also leads on rating (4.4 vs 3.9) and device support (3 vs 1). Mileage Logbook's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mileage Logbook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and drivers note sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

drivers note holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 39 and 20 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Mileage Logbook's written reviews are positive against 40% of drivers note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mileage Logbook ships an update every 6 days, drivers note every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
