# Giant Eagle vs Markit

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Markit at 100% against Giant Eagle's 42%. Markit also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Giant Eagle's advantage is ratings volume (84K vs 6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Markit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Giant Eagle has 84K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of Giant Eagle's written reviews are positive against 100% of Markit's.

Giant Eagle ships an update fortnightly, Markit every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
