# Jeffersons vs Krystal

The clearest difference is rating: Krystal at 4.7 against Jeffersons's 3.8. Krystal also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 18 months) and ratings volume (15K vs 13). Jeffersons's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 35%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Krystal holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Krystal has 15K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Jeffersons's written reviews are positive against 35% of Krystal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Jeffersons ships an update every 18 months, Krystal every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
