# Kwikset vs PIBC

Kwikset and PIBC both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of PIBC's written reviews are positive against 48% of Kwikset's. PIBC also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 3 months). Kwikset's advantage is ratings volume (60K vs 5) and chart position (#209 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PIBC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kwikset has 60K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Kwikset's written reviews are positive against 100% of PIBC's.

Kwikset ships an update every 3 months, PIBC daily. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
