# SMS from PC vs Forward SMS

The clearest difference is rating: SMS from PC at 4.2 against Forward SMS's 3.4. Forward SMS's advantage is review sentiment (38% vs 0%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SMS from PC sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Forward SMS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SMS from PC holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 20 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of SMS from PC's written reviews are positive against 38% of Forward SMS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SMS from PC ships an update every 5 months, Forward SMS weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
