# Moosun vs MoonUpHill

The clearest difference is rating: MoonUpHill at 5.0 against Moosun's 4.1. MoonUpHill also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Moosun's advantage is ratings volume (23 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MoonUpHill holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moosun has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Moosun ships an update every 6 months, MoonUpHill every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
