# Cardiff Students’ Union vs Revs

The clearest difference is rating: Cardiff Students’ Union at 5.0 against Revs's 4.2. Cardiff Students’ Union also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Revs's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (144 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cardiff Students’ Union holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Revs has 144 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Cardiff Students’ Union's written reviews are positive against 40% of Revs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cardiff Students’ Union ships an update every 12 months, Revs every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
