# Trainwell vs Esco Elite

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Trainwell at 5.6K against Esco Elite's 66. Trainwell also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). Esco Elite's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 88%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Trainwell against 5.0 for Esco Elite. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trainwell has 5.6K ratings behind it against 66, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Trainwell's written reviews are positive against 100% of Esco Elite's.

Trainwell ships an update every 10 days, Esco Elite every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
