# Standby Clock vs MeClock

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MeClock at 100% against Standby Clock's 61%. MeClock also leads on ads (none vs shown). Standby Clock's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (713 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Standby Clock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and MeClock sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.29 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Standby Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Standby Clock has 713 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Standby Clock's written reviews are positive against 100% of MeClock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Standby Clock ships an update every 6 weeks, MeClock every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
