# Maple Calculator vs Homework Helper

The clearest difference is rating: Maple Calculator at 4.7 against Homework Helper's 3.7. Maple Calculator also leads on review sentiment (62% vs 25%) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 100). Homework Helper's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maple Calculator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Homework Helper sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Maple Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Maple Calculator has 1.5K ratings behind it against 100, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Maple Calculator's written reviews are positive against 25% of Homework Helper's.

Maple Calculator ships an update every 2 months, Homework Helper every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
