# Maple Calculator vs MathNotes

Maple Calculator and MathNotes both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 62% of Maple Calculator's written reviews are positive against 33% of MathNotes's. Maple Calculator also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 51). MathNotes's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). Both are free to download. Maple Calculator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and MathNotes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Maple Calculator against 4.7 for MathNotes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Maple Calculator has 1.5K ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two.
