# Platenote vs 时食记

Platenote and 时食记 both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 98% of Platenote's written reviews are positive against 77% of 时食记's. Platenote also leads on ratings volume (16 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Platenote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and 时食记 sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Platenote against 5.0 for 时食记. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Platenote has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
