# Meow vs Apollo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Meow at 83% against Apollo's 63%. Apollo's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (63 vs 12). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Meow sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per year and Apollo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Apollo holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Apollo has 63 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Meow's written reviews are positive against 63% of Apollo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Meow ships an update every 5 weeks, Apollo monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
