# FIRST Events vs IFC 2026

The clearest difference is update cadence: IFC 2026 at every 3 months against FIRST Events's every 11 months. FIRST Events's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FIRST Events ships an update every 11 months, IFC 2026 every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
