# ELARI SmartHome vs Appstart

The clearest difference is rating: ELARI SmartHome at 5.0 against Appstart's 4.2. ELARI SmartHome also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.5). Appstart's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 50%) and ratings volume (440 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ELARI SmartHome holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Appstart has 440 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of ELARI SmartHome's written reviews are positive against 86% of Appstart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ELARI SmartHome ships an update every 3 months, Appstart monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
