# alias vs Moonshot

The clearest difference is rating: alias at 4.6 against Moonshot's 4.2. Moonshot's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 21%) and ratings volume (29K vs 7K). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

alias holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7K and 29K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of alias's written reviews are positive against 37% of Moonshot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

alias ships an update every 2 weeks, Moonshot every 11 days. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
