# Charm vs BackBar Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BackBar Pro at 100% against Charm's 33%. BackBar Pro also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Charm's advantage is ratings volume (73 vs 6) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Charm sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. BackBar Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

BackBar Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Charm has 73 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Charm's written reviews are positive against 100% of BackBar Pro's.

Charm ships an update weekly, BackBar Pro fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
