# Nerva vs Ombre

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ombre at none against Nerva's 4. Ombre also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Nerva's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nerva sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $99.00 per month. Ombre asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ombre holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nerva has 15K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Nerva ships an update every 2 weeks, Ombre every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
