# FontInstall.app vs My Font

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FontInstall.app at none against My Font's 1. FontInstall.app also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (57% vs 37%). My Font's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 3). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Font sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FontInstall.app asks for nothing beyond the download.

My Font holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Font has 1.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of FontInstall.app's written reviews are positive against 37% of My Font's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FontInstall.app ships an update every 4 weeks, My Font every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
