# Shovel Study Planner vs Aprofy

The clearest difference is rating: Aprofy at 5.0 against Shovel Study Planner's 4.1. Aprofy also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks). Shovel Study Planner's advantage is ratings volume (195 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shovel Study Planner sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Aprofy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aprofy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shovel Study Planner has 195 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shovel Study Planner ships an update every 5 weeks, Aprofy every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
