# EMM Connect vs Army MobileConnect

The clearest difference is ads: Army MobileConnect at none against EMM Connect's shown. Army MobileConnect also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). EMM Connect's advantage is rating (2.4 vs 2.0). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EMM Connect holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Army MobileConnect has 95 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of EMM Connect's written reviews are positive against 10% of Army MobileConnect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EMM Connect ships an update every 4 months, Army MobileConnect every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
