# Jack's vs Oneonta

Jack's and Oneonta both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Oneonta's written reviews are positive against 21% of Jack's's. Oneonta also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). Jack's's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 10). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Jack's against 4.7 for Oneonta. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jack's has 14K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 21% of Jack's's written reviews are positive against 100% of Oneonta's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
