# Jack's vs American Wings

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Jack's at 14K against American Wings's 1. Jack's also leads on chart position (#208 vs unranked). American Wings's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

American Wings holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jack's has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jack's ships an update every 4 months, American Wings every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
