# Jack's vs Quench Shoals

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Jack's at 14K against Quench Shoals's 2. Jack's also leads on chart position (#208 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). Quench Shoals's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Quench Shoals holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jack's has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jack's ships an update every 4 months, Quench Shoals every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
