# Hours Tracker vs From Time To Time

The clearest difference is ads: Hours Tracker at none against From Time To Time's shown. Hours Tracker also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (84K vs 2). From Time To Time's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 66%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hours Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and From Time To Time sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hours Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hours Tracker has 84K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Hours Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of From Time To Time's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hours Tracker ships an update weekly, From Time To Time every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
