# Pineapple vs Flashcards Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Flashcards Maker at 4.4 against Pineapple's 1.0. Flashcards Maker also leads on ratings volume (34 vs 1). Pineapple's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (50% vs 24%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pineapple sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Flashcards Maker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashcards Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashcards Maker has 34 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Pineapple's written reviews are positive against 24% of Flashcards Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pineapple ships an update weekly, Flashcards Maker every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
