# Password Reminder vs App Lock

The clearest difference is rating: App Lock at 4.6 against Password Reminder's 4.0. App Lock also leads on ratings volume (6.8K vs 4). Password Reminder's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Password Reminder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and App Lock sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

App Lock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: App Lock has 6.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
