Step And Earn turns the walking you already do into a small amount of real money. Your phone counts your steps; every 500 of them is a milestone you can claim for coins. HOW IT WORKS • Twenty milestones a day, one every 500 steps up to 10,000 • Claim a milestone for a coin • Check in daily for 10 coins, and 30 more every seventh day in a row • Play Furniture Run, a quick arcade jumper, for up to 10 more coins a day • Cash out to PayPal at 2,000 coins ($2.00), then 5,000 coins ($5.00) after that YOUR STEPS, FROM YOUR PHONE Step And Earn reads your daily step count from Apple Health. It only ever reads steps, never writes, and never sends your step count anywhere except your own backed-up copy of your progress. Tracking your steps is always free — the coins are the extra. DAILY CHECK-IN Come back each day for 10 coins, and 30 more on every seventh day in a row. Your check-in streak is shown on the home screen and survives until you miss a whole day, rather than resetting at midnight. Checking in plays a short video; if none is available the coins are paid anyway, so a bad connection never costs you your streak. FURNITURE RUN A quick retro jumper for when you're not walking. Ten points scores a coin, up to ten coins a day. Game coins need a short video to collect; your score is saved if the video doesn't load, so a failed ad never costs you a run. YOUR GOAL, AND YOUR WALKING STREAK A daily step goal taken from your own recent walking rather than a number we picked — set at a figure you already clear on most days, so it is a habit rather than a hurdle. Meet it and your walking streak grows. The progress screen shows your last 7 and 30 days, your best streak, your daily average, and how this week compares with the one before. Change the goal yourself whenever you like. WALKING EVENTS A directory of free weekly walks, so there is somewhere to go when you want the steps. Browse by country, search by park or place, then open the organiser's page to sign up or the start in your maps app. These are parkrun events: we don't run them, we charge nothing, and coverage follows parkrun's — not yet France or Korea. Neither the events nor your goal and walking streak pay coins. Coins come from the 500-step milestones, the daily check-in and Furniture Run. EARN HISTORY Every milestone and every game payout, grouped by day, with your earning streak, how many rewards you've claimed and the coins they earned. A REMINDER, IF YOU WANT ONE An optional nudge in the early evening, while there's still time to close the gap. It skips days when you've already claimed every milestone. Off or on any time in Settings, and it only asks permission when you switch it on. HONEST ABOUT THE MATH This is a small bonus for moving, not an income. 10 coins equals one cent. Your first payout is 2,000 coins ($2.00), and every payout after it is 5,000 coins ($5.00) — PayPal charges us a fee on every transfer, so fewer, larger payouts keep more of the money with you. A steady walker claiming milestones most days reaches the first payout in about a month, sooner if they check in daily. ADS The app is paid for by advertising: a banner at the bottom of the screen, and short videos. A video adds 3-9 bonus coins to a milestone you have already claimed. Claiming a walking milestone never needs one. Payouts are reviewed before they're sent. PayPal requires account holders to be 18 or over. No account needed. No sign-up. Just open it and walk.
